East Isles Arts & Crafts Tudor

This stately home, the work of Minneapolis architect Harry Wild Jones, lacked the combined kitchen, dining, and family room spaces which work well for modern family living. The beautifully proportioned addition, which opens to a new terrace and garden, was designed to blend seamlessly with the existing home. A continuous band of windows surrounding the new spaces creates a light-filled, sunroom feeling. The spaces within have a more modern aesthetic, and the cherry cabinetry complements both the modern detailing and the traditional moldings of the home. At the second floor, the master suite opens onto a balcony with stunning views of Lake of the Isles.
